Lisa Gillispie, MA, LPCC (she/her/hers) holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is in private practice in Columbus, Ohio as a licensed professional clinical counselor. For over 25 years, Lisa practiced as a licensed massage therapist supporting people recovering from traumatic experiences. Lisa completed the three year Somatic Experiencing training and Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner requirements in 2016. Lisa has trained with Stan Tatkin, PsyD, founder of the Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy, and is a Level 2 PACT Therapist. Lisa has completed the Level 2 and Level 3 NARM trainings and has participated in the ongoing Level 4 training with Dr. Laurance Heller, founder of NARM, since 2020. In 2021, Lisa completed the NARM Master Therapist requirements. Lisa has assisted the beginning and intermediate levels of the Somatic Experiencing training and is an approved session provider for students in their first 2 years of training. Since 2019, Lisa has assisted with Level 2 NARM trainings and in 2022 assisted Dr. Heller's last Level 3 NARM training. In addition, Lisa is an Experiential Consult provider for students in the Level 2 NARM training. Lisa has also completed the Community Resiliency Model® (CRM) training with founder Elaine Miller-Karas, Concussions and PTSD with Dave Berger, and Relational Development, Rupture and Repair with Dave Berger and Abi Blakeslee. Lisa has been a member of the Ohio Counseling Association since 2019 and joined ISSTD in 2022. Lisa is passionate about supporting other mental health providers in deepening their understanding of complex trauma and increasing their competence in working with complex trauma and finds it an honor and privilege to support her clients on their journey of healing developmental and complex trauma.
