Regina Kandie is a graduate of BSc Medical Laboratory Science (Kenya Methodist University), and MSc Tropical Infectious Diseases (University of Nairobi). She is a certified WHO level 1 expert microscopist, the acting head of the National Malaria Control Program's Case Management Unit, and the head of the national malaria diagnostics sub-committee. Previously, she worked at the National Public Health Laboratory Services. She is registered by both the Association of Kenya Medical Laboratory Scientific Officers (AKMLSO) and the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technician and Technologist Board (KMLTTB). She has participated in several national surveys and operational research studies, with special interest in malaria microscopy and molecular studies.
