Rosebella Kiplagat is a certified WHO Level 1 expert microscopist currently heading the National Malaria Reference Laboratory. She graduated with a BSc in Biochemistry (Moi University) and an MSc in Applied Epidemiology from the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. She has participated in several national surveys and other studies, including the 2020 Kenya Malaria Indicator Survey and the Antimalarial Therapeutic Efficacy Study (TES), the Histidine Rich Protein gene deletion study Kenya, and the Malaria Slide Bank project. She is currently coordinating the national malaria microscopy external quality assessment program. Her research interests are in malaria diagnostics and, specifically, molecular aspects.
