I am a final year PhD Schloar, and my research is focused on HIV and TB infections. I have completed a master's degree in medical pharmacology, I gained experience in conducting specific operational research, survey research and secondary data analysis skills on infectious diseases associated with pharmacovigilance and drug safety aspects. As co-Investigator, we received a grant from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) to conduct work on the association of occupational ionizing radiation exposure with hearing among health professionals by developing an effective evaluation tool. As part of a national operational research training program carried out a project on the spatiotemporal analysis of drug-resistant TB patients and established national wide policy implementation as documented in the following publications. In addition, I successfully administered the projects (e.g. staffing, budget), collaborated with other researchers, and produced several peer-reviewed publications from each project.
In summary, I have the expertise, leadership, training, and motivation which is necessary to successfully step towards becoming an independent researcher.
