Karen Kockler, MA-CCC/SLP-L, has been a licensed speech/language pathologist and elementary education teacher for 26 years. She is a Fellow of the Illinois Speech Language Hearing Association, former Vice President for Professional Services, former co-chair of the School Affairs committee within that division, and member of the School Affairs, Legs & Regs, and Billing & Reimbursement committees. She is also serving as ASHA’s State Education Advocacy Leader (SEAL) for Illinois, and represents ISHA on the Speaking for Children coalition (a group consisting of representatives from all five School Support Personnel disciplines).
