Ms. Barnes-Maguire has been an SLP for over 25 years. She has worked in the schools, early intervention, clinics, nursing homes, and in the university setting. She is currently a principal of an early childhood special education building and leads team meetings for the cooperative's 25+ SLPs. She teaches night classes to masters level students in the areas of Autism and Alternative Augmentative Communication. She lives in Manhattan, Illinois with her husband; they have two sons: one just starting college iwith a major in game design and one returning to college after the completion of his masters degree in sports, recreation and tourism to become a high school history teacher as he coaches baseball and basketball at the junior high and high school level.
