Natalie Benafield, Au.D., CCC-A, is the Director of the Doctor of Audiology Program and Associate Professor at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Previously, she was a Clinical Instructor and Graduate Program Coordinator in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Central Arkansas for nine years. Before working in academia, Dr. Benafield spent 20 years in pediatric and educational audiology settings, where she gained extensive experience in pediatric auditory processing assessment. She has presented widely on the topic of central auditory processing disorder (CAPD) in children and has recently collaborated with a research team that has resulted in two publications in this area. Her areas of interest include auditory processing disorders in children, hearing health for musicians, and clinical education in audiology.
