Dr. Ramrattan is an associate professor in the Communication Disorders & Sciences (CDS) Department. Dr. Ramrattan holds a Dr. of Audiology degree from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Ramrattan worked as an audiologist for 5 years in private practice and educational settings before accepting a tenure-track position in CDS at EIU. Dr. Ramrattan helped establish a listening and spoken language preschool program at Illinois State University (ISU) and set up an Auditory Processing Disorder (APD) protocol and provided hearing testing and identification of hearing loss for all districts within the heart of Illinois Low-Incidence Association (HlLIA). Dr. Ramrattan also provides testing (following a noise exposure testing criteria) for current active duty and veterans through a contract with Logistics Health Incorporated (LHI).
