Abstract: This survey study was conducted in order to gather information on the perceptions of graduate students in CSD regarding the impact of stress on school performance. Data were differentially gathered in order to determine the impact of stress on both academic and clinical performance. Information on sources of stress as well as sources of support will be presented.
Summary of Presentation : A survey including Likert questions and fill in Responses was sent to graduate students in CSD programs in the great Chicagoland area via Survey Monkey. Respondents were informed that they can end the survey at any time or skip questions they were not comfortable answering. The survey was designed to gather information regarding students perceived levels of stress, and what the impact was on academic performance as well as clinical performance. Subjects were asked to indicate what resources they participate in, in order to manage their stress levels. Descriptive statistics will be utilized to analyze survey results.
