Prof. Karen Hind, Ph.D., is Visiting Professor in the Interdisciplinary Center of Bone Disease at Lausanne University Hospital and Director of Clinical Affairs at Medimaps Group. Prior to her current positions, she was Assoc. Professor and Head of the DXA Imaging Research Unit at Durham University, UK. Prof. Hind has extensive expertise in the assessment of bone and body composition using DXA and other imaging modalities, from methodology to clinical application. Prof. Hind has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed articles (h-index 28, i-10 index 54), 6 book chapters and delivered over 50 invited presentations. Prof. Hind has also served on the Board of Directors of the International Society of Clinical Densitometry (ISCD), as well as being Chair of the Body Composition Education Committee and Chair of the UK-Ireland Panel.
