Director of the Metabolic Bone Program

Dr. Jennifer Kelly is the Director of the Metabolic Bone Program at the University of Vermont Medical Center, the Interim Chief of the Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes, and also an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Larner College of Medicine in Burlington Vermont. Dr. Kelly has been actively involved throughout her career in the care of patients with osteoporosis and the education of clinicians in this field. She was a member of the writing committee for the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists Guidelines on Postmenopausal Osteoporosis published in 2020. She is involved in multiple committees in the field of metabolic bone disorders on a regional, national and international level. She is the first ambassador from the state of the Vermont for the Bone Health Osteoporosis Foundation. Dr. Kelly also recently initiated the first Bone Telehealth Echo program in Vermont. She works closely with the Department of Orthopedics on research projects along with the inception of a Fracture Liaison Service at the University of Vermont Medical Center, which should also soon be implemented at other regional facilities.
