Kelly A Molinar-Kagan RT (R)(M) CBDT. Kelly received her NY State Cosmetology License in 1989, and then an Assoc. Degree in Business was earned in 1992 while in NY. In 1996, Kelly started as a Radiologic Technologist at a Level One Hospital in Scottsdale, then became Clinical Instructor/Coordinator for 3 schools in 2000. In 2006, she began her career in an outpatient setting. This is where she learned DXA and first trained on an (old) Norland machine, then on Hologic. In 2010, she created Technologist protocols with the Radiologists for DXA, X-Ray and Fluoroscopy for all Technologists working in the outpatient facilities due to receivng certification from manufacturer Application Specialists (Hologic - 2010). Also, Kelly performed DXA's for Clinical Trial Research and Body Compositions on Athletes during this time. She joined the ISCD in 2011 and attended a DXA Seminar in San Diego that year. In 2012, Kelly attended the 18th Annual ISCD Conference and was a co-speaker with then current President Sarah J Morgan MD, RD, CCA on DXA Basic (Apex). Also in 2012, Kelly became a member of the ISCD CME Review Committee (continues today) and in 2013, was a member of the CBDT Writing Committee. She also attended the 19th Annual ISCD Conference in 2013. 2018, Kelly received certification from Application Specialists on GE-encore. Her professional licenses/certifications include: NY State Cosmetology (1989), Arizona State Board of Cosmetology (1992), ARRT(R) (1998), MRTBE(R) (1998), ARRT(M) (2010), MRTBE(M) (2010), CBDT (2012). In her 27th year, she is still thriving in XR, Fluroscopy, and DXA and looks forward to many more to come.
