Dr. Angela M. Cheung is Professor of Medicine and KY and Betty Ho Chair in Integrative Medicine at University of Toronto (UT), Founding Director of the UT Centre of Excellence in Skeletal Health Assessment (CESHA), Founding Director of University Health Network Osteoporosis Program, and Senior Scientist at Toronto General Research Institute and Schroeder Arthritis Institute. She is the current chair of the International Society of Clinical Densitometry (ISCD) Canadian Panel, past chair for Osteoporosis Canada Scientific Advisory Council, an elected member of the International Osteoporosis Foundation Council of Scientific Advisors and a member of the Endocrine Society guidelines committee. She co-chaired the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology osteoporosis pathway app and is co-chairing the 2023 ISCD Position Development Conference. She has won many awards including UT Department of Medicine Eaton Scholar Award for clinical research in 2021. She currently holds a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Musculoskeletal and Postmenopausal Health. She obtained her M.D. degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 1988, and her PhD degree from Harvard University in 1997.
