Multiple therapeutic targets have been identified in a number of rare bone diseases, which has accelerated the advancement of therapies from bench to bedside. We will review the therapies that are now, or soon-to-be, available for patients with rare bone diseases and appraise their clinical impact.

Learning Objectives:

Review the natural history of clinically encountered rare metabolic bone diseases.
Identify pathways for the identification and diagnosis of rare bone diseases.
Describe the recent clinical trials for therapeutic approaches to select metabolic bone disorders.
