President
J.W. Faircloth & Son
Hillsborough, North Carolina, United States
Warren Faircloth is a graduate of North Carolina State University with a BS in Geology, 1974. He worked in agricultural conservation for the Chatham and Orange Soil and Water Conservation Districts in North Carolina for 7 years and then spent 18 years administrating the Erosion Control Ordinance on construction sites in Orange County and Chapel Hill North Carolina. It was there that he came up with the idea of the sediment basin skimmer out of frustration with the dismal performance of conventional basin design. In 2000 he bravely left his comfortable government job and started his own business manufacturing, developing and marketing Faircloth Skimmers with his wife Margaret. After 20 years of developing and growing the business, J W Faircloth & Son, he and Margaret sold the business to a group of investors in 2020 but he continues working there to develop a permanent surface drain for stormwater basins.
