Dr. Uchida is a board certified physician in Internal medicine and Cardiology and an entrepreneur with Master’s degree in Epidemiology from Harvard School of Public Health and served as a Research Fellow at Harvard Clinical Research Institute (Baim Institute). Worked for Japanese Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Evaluvation Center (Current PMDA, Tokyo, Japan) and Center for Clinical Trials of Japan Medical Association as COO. Also worked for the U.S. FDA to serve as a Medical Officer/Reviewer at Division of Cardiology, Office of Device Evaluation, CDRH between 2005 and 2007. After that, he worked for Boston Scientific Corporation as a Medical Director, followed by working as an independent consult for medtech startups in Silicon Valley. Currently, he runs a medical innovation incubator, JOMDD, Inc. (Tokyo, Japan) as a Founder and CEO.
