Prof.Dr. Hans Bonnier started with interventional cardiology in 1979, when he visit a course in Zurich by Andreas Gruntzig. His team was also trained there and the Cathjarina Hospital where he was the head started in 1980 as one of the first in the Neteherlands with PCI. Till his retirement in Eindhoven in trhe Catharina Hospital he performed more then 12.500 Pci,s. After his retirement he worked part time in Brussel as prof. in interventional cardiology and trained the fellows. End 2017 he stopped with this activity and retired. He participate in many important trials and wrote more as 150 scientific articles. He follows the interventional cxardiology in all his facets and report about that. In 1991 he did his PhD about " Thrombolysis and interventions, experience from the eighties ", in this thesis he defend his work in the eighties.
