Catalin Toma, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology in the Department of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh; and Director of Interventional Cardiology as well as Director of the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute. Dr. Toma also leads the Chronic Total Occlusion Program as well as the Pulmonary Vascular Interventional Program at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. He is an integral leader of the UPMC Structural Heart Program . Dr. Toma has published over 90 peer-reviewed manuscripts, holds 4 US patents, and has served as the national and local Principal Investigator on several significant clinical trials in the interventional cardiology space.
