George Dangas is Professor Medicine, Cardiology and Professor of Surgery, Vascular at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount SInai and the Director of Cardiovascular Innovation at the Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York, NY and Chief of Cardiology, Mount Sinai Queens. He obtained MD and doctorate degrees from the National Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece, and then completed Medicine Residency at the Miriam Hospital, Brown University, and Fellowships in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology at Mount Sinai. He is President-Elect of SCAI and Section Editor of JACC. He was previously the Chair of the ACC Interventional Scientific Council and a Trustee of the ACC and Society for Cardiovascular Angiography & Interventions. He is a Director of the annual conferences Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics and Director of Academic Affairs at the Cardiovascular Research Foundation.
