Dr. Collins earned his medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. He completed his internship at Providence Hospital in Washington, D.C. followed by his residency and a fellowship in cardiology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. He is a Fellow of MSCAI, FACC, SVM, FAHA, ISES and IAGS. He has been on the faculty at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans since 1989. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology. Dr. Collins expertise includes complex coronary, renal, lower extremity, congenital and carotid stents. He is skilled in diagnosing and treating aortic and mitral valve stenosis. Dr. Collins is an Associate Professor with Ochsner Clinical School, University of Queensland School of Medicine. He is retired and Emeritus at Ochsner.
