Dr. Tilak K. R. Pasala, MD is the Interim Director of Structural and Congenital Heart Center at Hackensack University Medical Center, Hackensack, NJ. After completion of his interventional cardiology fellowship from University of Utah (Salt Lake City, Utah), he pursued further sub-specialization and became one of the few in the country to have completed a two-year dedicated specialized fellowship in structural and congenital heart disease. He is also the Program Director of the Structural Heart Disease (SHD) Fellowship Program. He has co-authored over 13 book chapters in various topics of structural and valvular heart disease. His current research interest includes computed tomography (CT) post-processing imaging techniques used for complex structural heart disease interventions. He is the principal investigator for 8 structural heart device research trials.
