Chie Iwaishi is currently Senior Vice President, Regulatory and Clinical Affairs at Edwards Lifesciences, responsible for Japan, Asia, and the Pacific. She joined Edwards in 2018, with extensive leadership experience in major medical device and pharmaceutical companies.

Prior to joining Edwards, she spent 13 years with Johnson and Johnson, where she held various roles of increasing responsibility in Regulatory Affairs and Quality Compliance functions. Amongst these roles, she was the head of Worldwide Regulatory Affairs for the Cordis franchise and worked closely with the FDA and global regulators. Chie also held regulatory and clinical leadership roles at Abbott Vascular and Diagnostics and Otsuka Pharmaceuticals.

Chie holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from the joint institution of Tokyo Women’s Medical University and Waseda University, Japan.
