Frank F. Ing, MD is currently chief, & co-director of the Pediatric Heart Center at UC David Children’s Hospital in Sacramento and Professor of Pediatrics at UC Davis School of Medicine.
His clinical interest & research is in the development of transcatheter techniques & cardiovascular devices to treat congenital and structural heart disease from the fetus to the elderly. In addition to clinical trials and outcomes studies, he conducts animal work and collaborates with industry in studies related to therapeutic catheterizations.
He enjoys mentoring medical students, residents & fellows. He take special pride in training generations of 4th year interventional fellows over his 28 year tenure.
Dr. Ing is a fellow of the AAP, ACC & SCAI. He is also a regular faculty member on various international scientific conferences including SCAI, PICS and TCT. He is certified by the ABP and the Subspecialty Boards in Cardiology.
