Dr. Nahyr Lugo-Fagundo, from Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico, is a third year Internal Medicine resident at Mayo Clinic Jacksonville and will pursue her Cardiology fellowship at her home institution starting on July 1st 2023. She has a strong interest in Structural Interventional Cardiology under the mentorship of Dr. El Sabbagh. A former graduate from Johns Hopkins with a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering specializing in Cell and Tissue Engineering. She worked for a year at Accenture and then went to pursue medicine at Ponce Health Sciences University School of Medicine in Puerto Rico.
