Dr. Tocchi is a physician with a specialization in cardiology and a Ph.D. in Cardiovascular Pathophysiology. She is the founder of international CRO Meditrial. As clinical investigator, Dr. Tocchi authored landmark clinical studies on cardiac and peripheral stents, ablation systems, structural heart devices and advanced imaging technologies. Dr. Tocchi has been involved for more than 20 years in writing regulation and standards on clinical trials (ISO 14155, ISO 18969), cardiac valve replacement (ISO 5840), cardiac valve repair (ISO 5910), cardiac occluder devices (ISO 22679). With deep expertise in the design and execution of clinical trials, Dr. Tocchi has helped hundreds of small and large companies to innovate sophisticated medical devices and implant procedures, and to navigate the complex regulatory environment that governs clinical research.
