Dr. Faisal Rahman is an Assistant Professor in the Cardiology Division at Johns Hopkins University. He is a structural interventional cardiologist.
In addition to general coronary interventions his specific interests include:
- Percutaneous coronary interventions including complex and high-risk coronary intervention (CHIP), ultra-low contrast PCI
- Management of cardiogenic shock including placement of mechanical circulatory support
- Transcatheter aortic valve implantation
- Transcatheter edge-to-edge repair
- Left atrial appendage occlusion
- Alcohol septal ablation
- Patent foramen ovale and atrial septal defect closure (PFO/ASD)
He has strong interests in research, quality improvement and systems development, and is one of the founding members that developed the Cardiogenic Shock Team at Johns Hopkins Medicine.
