Craig A. Thompson, MD, MMSc. is Professor of Medicine, Cardiology at New York University School of Medicine and Director, Interventional Cardiology for the NYU Langone Health System and Director for NYU Langone Health's Catheterization programs. Dr. Thompson is a pioneer in percutaneous therapies for chronic total occlusion and in the field of complex PCI and the CHIP initiatives. He has taught extensively throughout the world in these areas. Dr. Thompson has helped usher in new technologies with clinical and industrial partners in interventional cardiology, endovascular therapy, and structural heart disease. He has pursued scale and public health strategies in various global geographies with the goal of disseminating best in class interventional care to patients worldwide. He is broadly published in the field and is the Editor in Chief of the Textbook of Cardiovascular Intervention.
