Dr. Bradley Strauss obtained his MD from the University of Toronto in 1982. He completed his Residency Training in Internal Medicine at the University of Toronto in 1986 and a Clinical Fellowship in Cardiology at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute in 1988. He completed a PhD in 1991 from Erasmus University under the supervision of Professor Patrick Serruys on coronary stenting and the arterial response to stenting injury.
He is the former Chief of the Schulich Heart Program and Head of the Division of Cardiology at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto, Canada. He holds the Reichmann Chair in Cardiovascular Research at Sunnybrook, and is a Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto. He has founded a CTO start-up company, Matrizyme Pharma, and is developing several interventional cardiology devices. Recently, he founded a new device start-up, RBY Medical.
