Group Leader
Empa - Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology
St Gallen, Sankt Gallen, Switzerland
I am a physical chemist by training, currently serving as a group leader at Empa, the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology. My research centers around soft matter and self-assembled colloidal systems, with a specific emphasis on exploring the interactions between lipids and nucleic acids at a fundamental and structural level. I am driven by curiosity and a desire to design new structures for innovative gene therapeutics. Furthermore, my laboratory specializes in developing advanced analytic characterization methods, including small-angle X-ray and neutron scattering (SAXS and SANS), along with fluorescence cross-correlation spectroscopy (FCCS). Our primary objective is to provide valuable insights that advance both fundamental research and practical applications within the industry.
