Mr. Suraj Fanse is a Ph.D. graduate student in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Connecticut, United States. He is working in Dr. Diane Burgess' laboratory and his expertise spans formulation development and characterization of long-acting controlled-release drug products. His current research focuses on enabling the development of contraceptive hormonal intrauterine systems by investigating the interplay of material-properties-processing relationships of these complex drug-device combination products. Suraj has several accolades gathered to his name which were awarded by the International Pharmaceutical Excipient Council IPEC-America, the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists AAPS, and the Controlled Release Society CRS during his Ph.D. Suraj has a total of 11 publications in high-impact peer-reviewed international journals.
Suraj completed his master's degree in India. Prior to joining the University of Connecticut, Suraj worked as a research scientist at Sun Pharma, India where he gained experience in material and analytical characterization of drug products.
