Nazly Pirmoradi, PhD, is a senior scientist at Palo Alto Research Center (PARC, part of SRI International). Her research spans the fields of micro/nano systems and devices, novel materials, and integrated 3D smart objects for biomedical applications, healthcare technologies, and drug delivery. She is experienced in full lifecycle of innovation including early-stage fundamental research, devices, design, materials, fabrication, processing, characterization, and experimental studies, including in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo animal studies. She has 30+ peer-reviewed publications, patents, book chapters. She was a research fellow at UC Berkeley Mechanical Engineering Department and Berkeley Sensor and Actuator Center (BSAC) and holds a PhD and M.A.Sc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of British Columbia with an Engineering Management sub-specialization.
