Silvia Franzè received her PhD in Medicinal Chemistry in 2015 at the University of Milan, where she is now Associate Professor in Drug Delivery and Regulatory Sciences at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. She is also partner and member of the Scientific Committee of "Pharmafilm srl- Spin-Off of the University of Milan" working on the development of (trans)dermal drug delivery systems and orodispersible films. Currently Dr. Franzè is member of the board of directors of the CRS Italy Chapter.
Her main research activity is focused on the design of lipid based nanocarriers for the delivery of therapeutically active molecules across biological barriers, in particular skin and mucosal barriers. Her activity involves also the study of the National and European regulatory frameworks for the production and marketing of medicinal and healthcare products.
