Amber Jones has spent 17 years working with Arvada Fire and a total of 20 years in the fire service. Her career with Arvada started in the 911 dispatch center as a Communications Specialist and shift lead. In 2015 she transitioned to the Community Risk Reduction division and works as a CRR Specialist. Her Primary role in her position is older adult education, injury prevention, and home safety. Through partnerships and collaboration Amber is able to help older adults stay independent and provided resource navigation. She holds certifications in Fire & Life Safety Educator I & II, YFIS, Car Seat Technician and Proxy, Crisis Intervention, as well as EMT Basic.
Arvada Fire prides ourselves on being a progressive and industry leader in Community Risk Reduction, Fire Suppression and Medical Services. The Community Risk Reduction Division, through collaborative partnerships internal to both our division and the department; and externally with the community, will apply the principles of the Five-E's to reduce threats by fire and traumatic injuries to the lives and property of those that reside, work and visit our district.
