Angela A. Kokkosis, MD, FACS, is an Associate Professor of Surgery at Stony Brook Medicine in Long Island, NY. She completed her integrated vascular surgery training at the Mount Sinai Hospital in NY, New York, and was recruited to Stony Brook upon graduation. She is the co-director of the Non-invasive Vascular Lab, and director of Carotid Interventions at Stony Brook Medicine; and Program Director for the Integrated Vascular Surgery Residency. Dr. Kokkosis has been highly involved with medical student and trainee education at the national level with the Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS) and the American Venous Forum(AVF), as well as local conferences. Dr. Kokkosis has presented her clinical research in carotid disease, peripheral arterial disease, venous disease and dialysis access at national meetings and published her work in peer-reviewed journals. Her clinical practice consists of all aspects of venous and arterial disease.
