Course Description:This course will focus on management of voiding dysfunction after definitive treatment for prostate cancer. Emphasis will be placed on topics related to incontinence, new onset storage symptoms and voiding dysfunction after multimodal therapy (e.g., prostatectomy and radiotherapy), and specific complicated scenarios including management of concomitant incontinence and anastomotic stricture and urinary fistulae.

Learning Objectives:

Define etiology and management of urinary incontinence and storage symptoms after prostatectomy, salvage/adjuvant radiotherapy, radical pelvic surgery, urethral reconstruction, etc.
Develop an algorithm for management of recalcitrant anastomotic strictures.
Identify treatment options for urinary fistula including reconstructive procedures and indications for urinary diversion.
Manage complications of male anti-incontinence surgery with an emphasis on reoperative artificial urinary sphincter or male sling surgery.
Define strategies to manage voiding dysfunction after radiotherapy for prostate cancer.
