Dr. Takacs received FPRMS subspecialty certification from the American Board of Urology in 2013 and completed her Masters in Medical Education from the Univeristy of Iowa in 2021. She was on faculty at the University of Iowa for 17 year but now is in private practice in rural Iowa. The focus of her practice is urologic conditions that affect women and other benign urologic conditions.
Dr. Takacs received her medical degree from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, where she also completed a postdoctoral research fellowship. She then completed her residency at the State University of New York at Buffalo, followed by a fellowship in female urology, incontinence and urodynamics at the University of Texas Southwestern at Dallas.
Dr. Takacs has served as a board member of the North Central Section of the AUA and the current President of the NCS.
