Dr. Jonathan Routh is a pediatric urologist and health services researcher at Duke University School of Medicine, where he serves as the Paul H. Sherman Associate Professor of Surgery and Pediatrics. Dr. Routh’s clinical interests include minimally-invasive surgery, complex urologic reconstruction (particularly in children with spina bifida), disorders of sex development, and pediatric urologic oncology. His research interests include secondary database analyses, utility elicitation, and novel clinical trial methodologies. He is the Surgical Director of the Duke Child and Adolescent Gender Program; a member of the Physician Advisory Committee of the Spina Bifida Association; Chair of the Steering Committee for the CDC-funded multicenter Urologic Management to Preserve Initial Renal Function (UMPIRE) Protocol for Children with Spina Bifida; he has served for 5 years on the Executive Committee of the Pediatric Urologic Oncology Working Group (currently President-Elect); and he is a member of the Soft-Tissue Sarcoma, Surgery and Long-Term Followup Committees of the Children's Oncology Group.
