Dr. Paul Austin is the Chief of Urology at Texas Children's Hospital and Professor of Urology at Texas Children's Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Austin leads a robust basic science research program and investigates the molecular pathways involved with renal injury resulting from obstructive uropathy. In addition to his basic science work, Dr. Austin is also recognized as a leading clinical trial investigator of lower urinary tract function and serves on global advisory panels for national and international urology clinical trials. Dr. Austin is the Secretary/Treasurer for the Society of Pediatric Urology and the past-President of the American Association of Pediatric Urologists and past-Secretary General for the International Children’s Continence Society. Dr. Austin has served on the Executive Committees for the Society of Pediatric Urology, American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Urology and American Association of Pediatric Urologists. Dr. Austin has published over 120 peer-reviewed articles and authored/edited 30 books and book chapters.
