Dr. Stephen A. Boorjian is the David and Anne Luther Chair of the Department of Urology at Mayo Clinic Rochester, where he also serves as the Carl Rosen Professor of Urology and the Director of the Urologic Oncology Fellowship. He received his MD from Harvard Medical School, and was a resident in Urology at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical Center. He subsequently completed a fellowship in Urologic Oncology at Mayo Clinic. Dr. Boorjian has co-authored over 550 manuscripts and book chapters, and has been recognized as “Teacher of the Year” in Urology by the Mayo Clinic Fellows’ Association. He has received the Young Urologist of the Year award from the AUA as well as the Young Investigator Award from the Society of Urologic Oncology. He is a past member of the NCCN Guidelines Panels for Bladder Cancer and Penile Cancer, has served on the AUA Non-Muscle Invasive Bladder Cancer Guidelines Panel, co-chaired the AUA Microhematuria Guideline Panel, and is a former Associate Editor of European Urology. He is currently a Senior Consultant for the American Board of Urology Examination Committee, and is the Chair-Elect for the American Urological Association Practice Guidelines Committee.
