Dr. Jonathan Olivier received his MD degree from the University of Paris in 2011. He subsequently completed his General Surgery and Urology training at Lille University under the guidance of Prof. Arnauld Villers and was board certified in 2017. In 2016, he spent a year at the University College London to complete a research fellowship in Urologic Oncology.
In 2017, Dr. Olivier was recruited to join the faculty at Lille University Hospital. He is currently an Associate Professor in the academic urology department of Claude Huriez Hospital, Lille, France. In his daily practice, he is particularly involved in the field of uro-oncology and BPH and practices minimally invasive surgery such as robot-assisted laparoscopic procedures and HOLEP.
Specializing in benign prostate hyperplasia management and urologic cancer care, he is the referent of Holep and BPH mini-invasive treatments. He is also part of the multidisciplinary urologic oncology team of the Lille University Hospital and a member of the prostate cancer group of the Young Academics of the European Association of Urology. His work focuses on improving the diagnosis and treatments of localized prostate cancer. He studies MRI imaging and biomarkers for prostate cancer detection, prognosis, and focal therapy planning.
Dr. Olivier has a PhD in the field of uro-oncology and genetic marking. He has authored or co-authored 70 peer-reviewed indexed publications according to PubMed. In 2018, he received the best lab scholar award from the EAU.
