Dr Randi M. Pose is physician in the Martini-Klinik prostate cancer centre (Germany) and presenting the abstract # 21-7964 (poster) "Prostatitis after biopsy may have a negative impact on biochemical recurrence after radical prostatectomy".
She studied medicine at the University Medical Centre Hamburg-Eppendorf until 2012. From 2013 to 2018, she worked first as a resident and then as a specialist at the Clinic for Urology and Paediatric Urology in Itzehoe (Germany), where she was already involved in teaching. She wrote her dissertation "In vitro and in vivo experiments with the human sodium iodide symporter (hNIS) in extrathyroidal human tumour cells" in the research group of Prof. Dr. U. Schumacher (Institute of Anatomy and Experimental Morphology) and received her doctorate in 2014.
In 2016, she acquired the specialist qualification in X-ray diagnostics of the kidney and draining urinary tract. In 2019, she moved first on rotation and then permanently to the Martini Clinic. Since then, she has been conducting research on prostate carcinoma. In 2020, she received her first lecture award (the Peter- Bischoff- Prize).
