My name is Rohan Sawhney and I am a PGY2 urology resident at the Smith Institute for Urology at Northwell Health. I am from Morristown, New Jersey and attended medical school at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. Mentors including Dr. Robert Weiss and Dr. Hossein Sadeghi-Nejad helped me in my decision to choose to pursue a career in urology. I was able to do research in bladder and kidney cancer at Hackensack University Medical Center with Dr. Michael Stifelman and Dr. Mutahar Ahmed which was presented at AUA 2022. Currently, my interests include technology in urology and medical education. As a PGY2 urology resident at the Smith Institute for Urology, I have been working closely with Dr. Jessica Kreshover on improving medical student urologic education and our research will be presented at AUA 2023.
