Oakley Strasser is a third-year urology resident, and heracademic interests focus on surgical and quality improvement, clinical outcomes, cost reduction, and systems efficiency. From hersenior thesis as an English major researching how Emily Dickinson’s education influenced her writing to working in China and Laos in education and public health after college, Oakley have always been fascinated by how systems impact the individual. During her medical school training, she also completed an MBA to better understand how the broader health system impacts the individual patient care and to develop a strong foundation in operations management, organizational structures, and financial decision-making in healthcare delivery. Oakley is now a third year resident in urology at Weill Cornell where she is pursuing her interest in urologic oncology.
