Dr. Emily Huang was born and raised in Plano, Texas. She pursued academic excellence from an early age, enrolling in the Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science and becoming a college student at age 15. She subsequently pursued her bachelor’s degree at Rice University and then went on to obtain her medical degree from the UT Southwestern Medical School with a distinction in clinical research. She is currently completing her residency training in urology at Houston Methodist Hospital where she is a part of the Resident as Teacher Program and Wellness in Training Committee. Her academic interests are founded in outcomes research, device innovation, and global health.
