Cheryl Samuels PNP is a pediatric nurse practitioner currently working at McGovern Medical School at UTHEALTH Houston in the division of Pediatric Urology for the last 2 yesrs. She received her master's degree in 1998 from the University of Rochester. Prior to working in pediatric urology, she spent most of her career providing primary care to children with medical complexity and serving as coordinator of spina bifida clinics both at Shriners Hosptial in Houston and now at UT. Her previous presentations and publications have focused on the topics of medical homes for children with medical complexities and the role of advance practice providers with children with chronic illnesses. Her current clinical interests include running a Voiding Improvement Program, bladder and bowel programs for children with spina bifida and cerebral palsy. She is a member of the Pediatric Urology Nurses & Specialists and the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.
