My name is Wade Gutierrez and I am an MD/PhD student at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. I am pursuing a career in urology and will be applying to residency programs this fall. I recently completed my PhD in Cancer Biology studying novel chemotherapy regimens for the treatment of soft tissue sarcomas. My urology research interests include studying the role of inflammation and steroid hormones in anterior urethral stricture disease and the impact of men's health education on individual's willingness to seek healthcare.
