My name is Firoj Alom, DVM, MS in Pharmacology, PhD in Veterinary Pharmacology, Postdoctoral Associate in the Dept. of Physiological Sciences, University of Florida. I have been involved to do research in bladder physiology (in rat and mice) for 6.5 years. My area of interest about the physiology of lower urinary tract. I have 4 full paper publications about bladder research and also had few poster presentations in conferences. Technically I have good experince about handling and restraining of laboratory animals, injecting viruses/drugs, surgical interventions, perfusion and collection of tissues, immunohistochemistry, in vitro and in vivo bladder cystometry recordings, von-frey assessments etc.
