Olutiwa A Akinsola, MD MS is a third year Urology resident at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio after her family immigrated to the United States from Nigeria. She obtained her Bachelor's degree from University of Pittsburgh and went on to receive a Master's degree in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University. She then returned to the University of Pittsburgh for her medical education, graduating with her Doctorate in Medicine in 2020. Her academic interests include studying social determinants of health within the context of urologic care and resident education. She plans to pursue fellowship in Urologic Oncology after completing residency.
