Anna Malykhina, PhD is Professor and Director of Basic and Translational Urological Research in the Division of Urology, Department of Surgery at the University of Colorado, School of Medicine. Her neurourology laboratory studies neural mechanisms of urological chronic pelvic pain syndromes (UCPPS), pelvic organ cross-sensitization, neurogenic voiding dysfunction in neurodegenerative disorders, mechanosensitivity and mechanotransduction in the human urinary bladder. Dr. Malykhina`s research programs have been continuously funded by the NIH/NIDDK. She is also an active member of several international scientific societies (AUA, ICS, SBUR), serves on a number of the editorial boards, and on the study sections for the National Institute of Health and Department of Defense.
