Professor and Vice Chair
Dr. Ravi Munver is Vice Chair, Director of Minimally Invasive and Robotic Urologic Surgery, and Director of Living Donor Kidney Surgery at Hackensack University Medical Center. He is a Professor of Urology at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine. He is the founding Director of New Jersey’s first Robotic Surgery and Minimally Invasive Urologic Oncology Fellowship Program, accredited by the Endourological Society.
Dr. Munver is an internationally renowned leader in robotic, laparoscopic, and endoscopic surgery. He is a passionate academician, and his clinical interests include robotic surgery, minimally invasive urologic surgery, oncology (prostate, kidney, bladder, ureter, adrenal cancers), reconstructive surgery, kidney stones, prostate enlargement, and new technologies. In addition, Dr. Munver has a profound interest in optimizing clinical outcomes through innovation and technology. He has authored hundreds of scientific manuscripts, articles, book chapters, and abstracts.
Dr. Munver is known for his compassionate care with patients and has received the Gold DOC Award for Humanism in Medicine. He was also awarded the Alpha Omega Alpha Volunteer Clinical Faculty Award by the AOA National Honor Medical Society, and the Golden Apple Award for excellence in teaching. He has been an active educator for more than 20 years and he remains dedicated to teaching medical students, residents, fellows, and colleagues.
